Project Details

Project: Silverthorne Lane Project, Bristol
Main Contractor: HG Group

When HG Construction signed a £75m deal to build a purpose-built student accommodation scheme for Studio Hive in Bristol, DMH were one of a few selected to tender for the project. We were pleased to announce that we were successful in securing the £5.5 million project bid.

The Silverthorne Lane scheme comprises of 706 student rooms including cluster bedrooms and studio rooms along with high quality amenity spaces, over four blocks. This development forms an integral part of the regeneration of land off Silverthorne Lane, in Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.

This is the first time we have worked with HG Group; however, they were confident that we had both the breadth of experience and skilled staff to undertake this project successfully, having previously worked on similar projects for student accommodation. Our last project was for Watkin Jones in Bedminster, Bristol for an 819-bed student accommodation split over two separate buildings.

We commenced works on 17th July 2024 as per the instruction from the client and drawings supplied to our Project and Site Managers, who are working closely with HG Group representatives on site.

We are proud to announce the project is on schedule and within budget thanks to our skilled teams and Project and Site Managers who are dedicated to their work and environmental protection. They strive to minimise carbon footprint and waste.

We also prioritize hiring local labour, which reduces our carbon footprint, lowers local unemployment, and supports the local tax base and public services.

We are committed to making a positive impact throughout the construction of this scheme.

We will be updating this case study as the project commences with photographs of our progress.
